Joshua Youngs Success Story

“Your heart is the most precious piece that you carry on every step of your journey. Always nurture it, guard it, and protect it. If you need to, work to heal it because everything that you do shines through and from it..” - Joshua Young

8 Reasons

I graduated over 250 people from the largest adult education program in my state over 15 years. I also helped 25 people achieve their citizenship. (I taught ESL here and there, but mostly ABE). I also am an LPN on weekends. I started as a CNA at age 17, which I had before I finished high school. Health occupations are definitely good programs to pursue. I was the first male CNA graduate in my high school’s history. Currently, I provide all-out local enrollment (via weekend travel) and intake to our agency’s services, ensuring qualification with the state and third-party insurance. I provide onsite needs assessment with the applicant to ensure proper caregiver match and a billable scope of services. I went on to earn three degrees, and now hold an Education Specialist degree in adult and higher education. I was the first ED.S. graduate at my university. In this emphasis, one that we individually created, and now is a formal emphasis within the program. I was 25 when I earned this degree. I am the testing coordinator and virtual orientation facilitator handling all delivery, testing and orientation scheduling for all of the virtual sites in the program. I also handle our accounts with distance learning resources and administer account level registration and access for teachers and students program wide for three third party vendors.
